Dr. Ghaffar is known by his patients for his gentle approach and genuine care. He believes that a dental office should be a place where people feel comfortable, understood, and well looked after—whether it’s a child coming in for their first check-up or an adult seeking advanced treatment. His goal has always been to combine compassion with the highest standards of dentistry so that every patient leaves with both a healthier smile and a positive experience.
Dr. Ghaffar’s journey in dentistry began at Cairo University, where he earned his dental degree in 1998. He later completed his PhD in Dentistry in 2008, focusing on dental implants and periodontics, and expanded his expertise through advanced implant training in Germany and Canada. In 2020, he became licensed by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), and since then he has been proud to serve patients in Burlington and the surrounding area.
To provide the most comprehensive care possible, Dr. Ghaffar has completed additional training in Invisalign® and orthodontics. His services range from family and preventive dentistry, dental implants and periodontal therapy, root canal treatments, minimal sedation, wisdom teeth extractions and oral surgeries, orthodontic treatments, and clear aligners.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Ghaffar is a devoted husband and father who calls Burlington home. He enjoys the simple joys of life—BBQs with family, time at the gym, and hiking the trails—and brings that same balance of warmth and dedication into the care of his patients
Dr. Ricky Hamami grew up in Burlington, Ontario and earned his Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences from the University of Guelph. He then pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the prestigious University of Melbourne in sunny Australia.
Although life in Melbourne had its perks, Dr. Ricky chose to return to Canada to be closer to his family and friends. Guided by his education and core principles, his patient-centred approach aligns seamlessly with the team’s mission to create healthy, beautiful smiles.
Dr. Ricky is committed to continuous learning and staying current with the latest techniques to provide comprehensive, high-quality care. In addition to general dentistry, he has advanced training in clear aligner therapy, sedation dentistry, CEREC (same-day crowns), and oral surgery.
Having been an anxious dental patient himself, Dr. Ricky understands firsthand how important comfort and reassurance are. His calm, gentle demeanour helps put patients at ease, and he regularly provides sedation services for anxious patients as well as for multiple dental clinics across the Greater Toronto Area.
Outside of dentistry, you can find Dr. Ricky hacking up a golf course, cheering on his favourite sports teams, or spending quality time with family and friends.
Stacey has been a registered dental hygienist since 2010. Stacey has been dedicated to educating patients about oral health and enjoy doing so alongside our team at Burlington Family Dentists. Stacey enjoys country living with her husband and son.
FUN FACT: Stacey enjoys experimenting in the the kitchen with the random ingredients her little guy slips into her grocery cart.
Joanne is a Dental Assistant graduate from Niagara College with over 40 years of experience in the dental industry. She is our dedicated office manager, who’s focus is on providing patients with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
FUN FACT: Joanne is the youngest of seven children. She is a classically trained soprano and has a dog named Willow.
Sandra has been a dental assistant for 4 years and loves helping patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. She enjoys building trust with patients and making every appointment a positive experience. Sandra is caring, supportive, and always ready to lend a hand to ensure patients receive the best
care possible.
FUN FACT: Sandra loves cooking with her favorite sous chefs, her son Kacper, who gives honest (and sometimes hilarious) feedback, and her dog Roman, who happily approves of every meal.
